Sarah works from a pottery and workshop based at her home in the small Wiltshire village of Winterbourne Stoke, near Stonehenge.
Most of her work is thrown white earthenware, but some is slabbed or coiled. She loves creating finished pieces with subtle designs, inspired by nature, with a creamy glossy finish. She enjoys the versitility of clay and relishes any opportunity to explore its function and forms.
Her career has varied widely over the last fifteen years but never far from her mind has been her passion to create, whether to paint, sculpt or make. Having pursued her interest in clay from A level through to adult education in South London, then finally working as an apprentice in a working Wiltshire pottery, she now works independently from home producing work for galleries, shows and running pottery workshops and pottery social evenings.
Her mission is to provide beautiful, useful things for the home and to give as many people as possible a love of working with clay!
