10 Week Courses
We offer a ten week course for Adults, wishing to take up a new hobby or develop skills in pottery. As a pottery we work alongside the academic year, with three full terms of hard work and the opportunity to have a lot of fun and make so many amazing creations.

I run classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I run a morning session from 9.30-12.30 and an evening session from 7pm-9.30 pm on both these days.
Even if you miss the start of a term you are welcome to join the course, we can adjust the price accordingly.

I welcome students of all abilities, from no experience to reigniting a favourite hobby or past-time. You may just find you have a real talent for all things ceramic!

One off Experiences

If you're new to potting, just experiment - we can offer plenty of inspiration. If you already have experience we can teach slab-work, coil-making, throwing on the wheel, the basics of sculpting - whatever takes your fancy.

Facilities
Within the pottery I have five pottery wheels; four electric wheels and one kick wheel. I have an electric kiln and a hand built raku gas fired kiln, which I built last year. The ten week classes usually consist of a group of 8 people, where people can alternate between throwing practice, hand building and decorating work with slips and glazes. During the winter months there is a little wood-burning stove in the pottery to keep off the winter chill and cake and coffee is provided all year round. Often people come with some idea of what they want to create and I help you to take that inspiration further as well as push you to improve your skills.
